step one: find the key and click the icon

the black page shows a door and a red icon that says" click me" the audience is instructed to click on it and get taken to a separate page. i put my trust in the audience to follow the given instructions or else they'll end the game before it begins. i left that option open so that the fate of the instructional was in the hands of the audience

step three: find the image of the key

 at this point the audience is free to search the page. but there are obstacles that can get in the way. this is an example of that is in the way. a message is in the comments that redirects you to another link.

step five: back on the page

once back on the page your instruction is the same as before: find the key

write up:
i got inspiration for this piece by a page that followed me on instagram called “ find Post Malone’s grill”. The page was set up that every post was either a picture of a grill or a big red “x”. Once you found the right picture the game was over. I wanted to take that idea and elevate it. I wanted my assignment to include the option to mess up and start again that way there were consequences for not following the rules. I also wanted to add in memes because they are a form of comedy that seems to never age well and when you bring up an old meme the reaction is almost always a look is annoyance.

step eight: click on the door

the door has a link attatched to it that will lead you to a video. sit back and enjoy, you've just been rick rolled

step four:how to get back into the game

if you clicked on the link you would be taken to this hotglue page with a picture of a meme i made and a link that will take you back to the instagram page.

step six: find the key. click on the link

once your find the key your are given another link and are told to click on it.

step seven: click on the door

your are taken from the instagram page to the original page and can now open the door

step two: find the image of the key

after clicking on the icon from the first page the audiance is taken to an instagram page get up around the adventure theme. the bio of the instagram instructs the audiance to search through the website (page, posts and comments) to look for the key image.
